I have been trying to decide for the past 3 months which watch I wanted to add to my collection.I had the misfortune to see my Tag Carrera ruined when our home was destroyed by Sandy. I had more important issues to worry about than purchasing a new timepiece. With no computer,but my smartphone,I finally decided to start my search for by using Amazon.com as my way of researching the specific brands and only authorized Resellers that would only provide full warranties.

I had a Citizen watch that was 6 years old that had the orginial Titanium bracelet and
worked as well as a one of my swiss made chronographs. So I decided that the "CITIZEN SIGNATURE ECO-DRIVE GRAND COMPLICATION" was the right choice. The price and the 5 year warranty were major factors in my decision. $1395.00 is a very fair price for the design,workmanship,total funcionality and the features that this watch offers the buyer.
The most attractive aspect that Citizen Watch Company provides is the fact that they make a product that if purchased through a Authorized Citizen Retailer, you are asurred 5 Year Factory Service Warranty. This fact alone is 3 Years longer than the Luxury Brands of Swiss Made watches that vary in price from $1200 to $95,000 and up. I am not saying that a Rolex, Piaget, Cartier and Tag are to be viewed or judged on the same field as a Citizen watches. I feel the R&D Citizen has Implemented in its advanced movements design,they should be concerned exceptional and has been copied by certain companies with poor results and quality. It is necessary to research and call the Manufacturer Corporate office and ask if the Retailer or Reseller is one of their specific line of watches
Authorized Dealers. Every Luxury or Quality Brand of New Line of watches coming onto the market is not offered at Discounted or Markdown Price. If it is, "Buyer be Aware" of the gift horse. If you want to purchase anything from an "Unauthorized Reseller Online", please do not brag about what you paid. You could have a problem and you only will find out when you have to send it to the Service Dept. for a repair or cleaning

I absolutely love this watch. Its every bit as high quality as any Swiss watch and because it's solar it never needs a battery. The clasp on the bracelet is made in such as way as to fit completely flush when latched. The contrast is perfect making the date and time easily legible and the crystal is double coated anti-reflective sapphire. The hands glow in the dark but the markers do not. I wish they had put a little dot of glow paint on the markers or included a dial light. Ok, maybe the dial light would be a bit tacky for a watch of this caliber. I'd also like to see them add atomic time keeping to this watch so that it will set itself automatically. Because it has a perpetual calendar it is a bit tricky to set. Once set you're good to go. Other notable missing features are an Alarm and an hourly time signal (chime). It does have a minute repeater function that is cool. Its fun to demonstrate that to my friends but I seldom use the feature. A lighted dial light is more practical though might be tacky. All in all I love this watch.
